The “First Restaurant Guide of Authentic Mexican Food in the United States and Canada”,
carried out by the Fundación Sabores Auténticos de México (Authentic Flavors of
Mexico Foundation), is achieved thanks to the full, decisive and professional support
of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food of Mexico (SAGARPA).

This important work targets embassies, consulates, concierges and the general public
living in the United States and Canada, who want to visit Mexican restaurants but do not
know where to fi nd them. Thus, this informative tool seeks to meet this need by
showing where specialized restaurants — which remain faithful to popular traditions
— are located. This Guide provides recipes made with Mexican products and it is very
useful to distinguish the different kinds of food you can enjoy.

Those are some of the reasons which have motivated us to create the ‘Fundación Sabores Auténticos de México’ (Authentic Flavors of Mexico Foundation) and offer you this “First Restaurant Guide of Authentic Mexican Food in the United States and Canada”,
